More Trails = More Fun
With the Burgess Creek chair now humming for the second day this season, the mountain just seems bigger. Cruising Heavenly Daze down to the base is nothing short of exhilarating, but hitting trails like White Out and B.C. Liftline are a kick.
Most of the runs I pursued this morning consisted of sweet groomed terrain. I’m playing around with a new set of sticks this season, so I was testing their ability to hold an edge on packed powder. From all of my early testing, I think they’ll do just fine (wink!).
The more I hone in on the activities of Ski Patrol, the more I can see they are preparing to open up expanded terrain as soon as they can. I was riding my fat bike up the snowy road last night after the mountain closed and could see the night crew of snowmakers and grooming machine operators bustling hard. The buzz in the rumor mill lately is that we’ll be opening more trails (and lifts) this week, assuming some additional help from the snow gods.
If you’re interested in seeing more from our resort in real-time, be sure to check out our live interactive web cams. It’s a great way to experience the mountain from the comfort of your love seat.
But until we ski again, happy trails!
