In all the hustle and bustle of the holidays it’s easy to be overwhelmed with everything but what’s important. That may sound cliche but it is the absolute truth. I am a perfect example of what NOT to do…December 20th rolls around and undoubtedly I get the same sense of anxiety wondering if I’ve finished my Christmas cards which quickly turn into New Years or even Valentine’s Day cards at worst. I rack my brain for ideas wondering if I’ve found the perfect gift for my not so easy to shop for husband and I casually wonder what we will make for dinner Christmas eve. Silly me! None of this actually matters.
However you celebrate, the most important element is the love shared with family and friends. There is no better place to create memories, laughs and joy than right here in Steamboat. Turns on the mountain, carols through town or even a moonlight stroll through the woods, whether you’ve lived here the last twenty years or you’re visiting for the week I encourage you to put your energy and attention toward enjoying all the blessings of the season. Create memories which will last a lifetime because when all is said and done that’s what will you talk about.
