The Outlaw Mountain Coaster is nearing completion, with official opening expected to be in early September. To thank our locals, guests and employees for their patience during summer projects, Steamboat is extending mountain operations — including the gondola, Steamboat Bike Park and Coca-Cola Adventure Zone — to weekends through Oct. 22, weather dependent. The gondola and Bike Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. while Coca-Cola Adventure Zone activities will operate from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

This will be the first time summer operations extend into October at Steamboat Resort, providing guests access to the changing seasons via gondola and base area activities. Coca-Cola Adventure Zone activities available during the extended season include the new Outlaw Mountain Coaster, Maverick mini-golf, bungee trampoline and climbing wall. During the extended October weekends, Adventure Zone day passes and single activity passes, gondola rides and Bike Park tickets will be available.

Season passes, including Bike Park and 2016/17 and 2017/18 full winter passes, will be valid through the additional weekends. Steamboat Bike Shop will be open for guests weekends through Oct. 22 with guided tours and lessons, and the Bear River Bar & Grill will serve a full menu and bar. Additional snacks and bottled drinks will be available at Thunderhead Shop at the top of the gondola.
