Sizing Up My Gear
Ahhh, the final weekend before the mountain officially opens for the winter season. This is exactly the time of year I take a last-minute rundown on my gear and make sure I’ve got everything ready to go when the first rope drops.
Skis: Waxed, sharpened and ready? Check!
Boots: Inner shell still fits without feeling too packed out? Check!
Helmet, gloves and parka: Pulled out of the hallway closet? Check!
And most importantly, ski pass? DOUBLE CHECK!
When the chairlifts begin to churn and our trails officially open this year, I’m planning to be ready. And with the recent snowfall provided by Mother Nature herself, our mountain is beginning to really take shape.
As you begin to gear up like me, you might want to take this opportunity to bookmark a few helpful resources.
