Upper Rustler Ridge Opening in Steamboat Bike Park

The Steamboat Bike Park continues to grow as this weekend the resort opens Upper Rustler Ridge. The intermediate Downhill specific trail is the design and work of industry legend Gravity Logic, who worked with resort biking crews to complete the trail weeks earlier than expected. Upper Rustler Ridge spans 1.2 miles with an elevation drop of 560 feet before intersecting with Lower Valley View.

In an effort to bring new Bike Park trails to our guests, the resort is opening Rustler Ridge in sections, instead of waiting for the entire trail to be completed later this summer. Therefore, the current route takes a detour through Valley View before reconnecting with lower Rustler Ridge. Valley View is a multi-use trailand will have traffic in both directions; we remind riders to use caution, be considerate of other bikers, hikers and trail users, yield to uphill traffic and avoid high speeds on this section of the trail.

With the completion of Upper Rustler Ridge, Gravity Logic will now turn their attention to remaining portion of Rustler Ridge which will connect the two current sections creating an intermediate trail running from the Gondola to the base area.
