Steamboat

Your vacation planning community

Longer days, more sun and a lot of powder have set Steamboat up for perfect spring conditions. With the recent snowfall and the warmer temperatures yesterday, I don't know if there could be a carvier day than today.

Here 's a shot of the sun setting from the top of Thunderhead late yesterday afternoon.

And another of the sun-rising over Hurricane this morning.

Spring has definitely sprung! The sun and snow have married up nicely, so no matter what you ski, it requires little to no effort to dig your edges in. Even the bumps in trees of Shadows proved to be plenty manageable, but the no-brainers for today are Sunset, Cyclone and the amazing Hurricane which were all rolled last night by the grooming machines. They can't get much better.

No matter if you are early or late to the mountain, the skiing is incredible. If you need some extra motivation to book your spring Steamboat trip, check out the Springalicious deal offered by the mountain...$99 for four days of skiing from April 7th to closing day. If we stay in this optimum sun-snow cycle, it'll be the deal of the decade.

Happy turns,

Erin Brosterhous
