Snow, Weather, Lift Info now on my.steamboat home page

You can now see the latest snow, temperature, wind, lift & trail info just below the Photo Of The Day on the my.steamboat.com homepage. This info comes from our steamboatinfo Twitter feed, and is updated several times a day. If a lift closes temporarily due to wind or other reasons, the first place you can probably see it is on the my.steamboat.com homepage or on your mobile phone via the same steamboatinfo Twitter feed. Enjoy!

Brilliant addition, thank you. But - unless it is just me (very possible ;-) )- am not sure that it is working quite right yet...

... I just get a link in that pane that says "more". If I click on "more" then it takes me to a sign in page for twitter.

Boo & Mike, This link http://twitter.com/steamboatinfo seems to give the twitter info James is talking about. I registered on the twitter site but they don't sms to UK phones.

I think that the idais that twitter provides a feed to the hompage (updatd a few times a day). I did see a feed appear, briefly, about an hour or so ago. It has gone again now. I don't think it is working quit as James has intended (from reading his post). Will be great when it is working properly though :-)

I guess I thought it would just post the info on the main page as an information link or heading.

Looking into this. I saw both tweets there a while ago. Our site might be retiring the feed entries for some reason....

Sorry about my typing above: either I have mentally lost it (quite possible!) or the keyboard of this laptop is playing up (and missing letters/spaces out all over the place!). Must re-read before I post!

OK, it's all working now, but we'll see if the RSS reader that's built into our software here makes the latest tweet from Kent disappear again.

And now it's working even mo' better. A little glitch we may have to live with is the repetition of the title and content. Right now it looks like an artifact of the way we're using the Twitter RSS feed.

It is definitely working better - clicking on "more" now takes me to something interesting and useful. Thank you :-)

Am not sure if you intend for there to actually be some text on the my.steamboat.com homepage (i.e. a summary of present conditions) - that isn't appearing at the moment (although it did, briefly, last night UK time).
