Fly Steamboat Program Enters 24th Season of Convenient Access to Ski Town, U.S.A. ®

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO-October 2, 2009-The Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation launched a brand new interactive website, flysteamboat.com , today, Friday, October 2nd highlighting its industry leading nonstop air program, accessibility and state-of-the-art airport.

“The new Fly Steamboat site is the best and most complete source for all things associated with accessing Ski Town, U.S.A. and its signature Champagne Powder™ snow,” said Andy Wirth, senior vice president of sales & marketing. “The Steamboat flight program is all about big nonstop jets, low fares, convenient access as well as improvements across the Steamboat/Hayden Airport.”

The new site, based upon a flash-based interactive platform, is the ultimate online resource for information on Steamboat’s nonstop flights, low fares and packages, booking options, convenient connections, ground transportation, travel tips as well as key components about the Steamboat/Hayden Airport-the most conveniently accessed airport in the Rockies.

Site visitors will immediately notice the navigation ease, interactive features as well as a cleaner, crisper overall look and feel, which has been designed to focus on Steamboat’s access qualities. The site provides a richer, more compelling online experience and hassle-free transition into the resort’s state-of-the-art online booking engine-iCORIS, providing guests direct reservation and booking capabilities through Steamboat Central Reservations®. In addition, several social media elements including live online chat, Twitter & Facebook links augment this compelling air-focused site.

Developed jointly by Resort Technology Partners (RTP) & Steamboat, the new site incorporates a sophisticated, custom-built content management system, allowing the resort to quickly update information, highlight low fares from a variety of destinations and integrate evolving technology and functionality going forward.

“As a result of the state-of-the-art airport facility and a nonstop flight program built upon big jets, convenience and a variety of options for guests, Steamboat’s nonstop flight system is unmatched within the industry and truly a key differentiator against other resort destinations,” continued Wirth. “The new Fly Steamboat site further distances Steamboat from its competition highlighting key access elements in the most technological and interactive medium for powderhounds.”

Entering its 24th season, the resort’s winter nonstop flight program features convenient nonstop jet air service from nine major airports on four key U.S. carriers – American, Continental, Delta/Northwest and United Airlines, direct into Steamboat/Hayden Airport for the 2009/2010 season. In addition, the schedule provides convenient connections from over 230 airports nationwide and worldwide.

Recently, the Steamboat/Hayden Airport became the first community in the United States to utilize a new next-generation electronic surveillance tracking system for commercial as well as general aviation. Featuring an unprecedented 10,000-foot runway able to handle some of the largest commercial jets, including 757, A319/320 & 737-800 aircraft, Steamboat is the most conveniently accessed ski resort community in the Rockies. And once passengers touch down, they’ll set foot in an ultra-spacious multi-million dollar airport terminal facility. Over the past five years, the facility has evolved with an array of improvements that touched every element of guest service from check-in counters to departure terminals; food & beverage to retail amenities; and curb-side services to security screening.

RTP is an award winning leader in the design and development of websites for the resort and travel industry, which fully engages the consumer and combines back end programming systems with front end aesthetics and simplicity. Founded in 1998, RTP is a privately owned company that specializes in delivering industry leading software, web development and solutions for third-party ticket and product distribution for the resort, recreation, and hospitality industries.

Currently, Steamboat Central Reservations, 800.922.2722, is featuring special airfares directly into Steamboat/Hayden for the 2009/10 winter season from a variety of cities and carriers. With the upcoming winter season on the horizon, it’s never too early to save a boatload on your winter vacation through Steamboat Central Reservations-the first choice for discounted airfares into Steamboat-Ski Town, U.S.A.

IMO way too much work and too many potential issues. The simple but expensive solution is to bring along a nanny. Otherwise wait 2 years.
