After 30 years in Nashville, Brent Rowan is perhaps the most prolific and sought-after studio guitar player on Music Row. Since breaking into the industry, Rowan has worked over 16,000 recording sessions representing well over 270 million records sold. His credits include cuts by leading country and pop artists of the last two decades, among them George Strait, Shania Twain, Sting, Brian Wilson, Randy Travis, Neil Diamond, Olivia Newton-John, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Alabama. An eight-time nominee for CMA's Instrumentalist of the Year Award and a two-time Academy of Country Music Guitarist of the Year, Rowan has already put together the kind of track record left by only a handful of legendary Nashville session players.

Joining Rowan in Ski Town, U.S.A.® this holiday season will be renowned performers Hillary Scott, current member of the hottest new group in Country Music, Lady Antebellum; Linda Davis, who teamed with Reba McEntire on the #1 Hit Does He Love You; and Lang Scott, National Champion of TNN’s You Can Be A Star.

A dedicated career woman, consummate entertainer, inspirational motivator, and devoted wife and mother are just a few ways to describe Grammy winning singer/songwriter Linda Davis. Davis quickly gained a legion of friends and fans in the music industry, one being superstar Reba McEntire. Their mutual respect led them into the studio together where they recorded a duet entitled Does He Love You that went on to become a #1 hit and earn both artists several awards including a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Collaboration. Through the years, Davis has played to sold-out crowds with the likes of Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba McEntire and Kenny Rogers just to name a few.

Currently a member of the hottest new group in Country Music, Lady Antebellum, Hillary Scott developed her passion for music at an early age.In 2006, Hillary, along with Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, formed the group Lady Antebellum, and the group has been burning up the charts with songs like Love Don't Live Her', I'm Just Looking for A Good Time, and their most recent hit, I Run To You, which resulted in the group's first #1 record. 'Lady A' (as their fans have labeled them), has already scooped up awards for CMA's 2008 Horizon Award as well as the ACM's 2008 Top New Vocal Group. In addition to the awards won by Lady A, Hillary is SESAC’s reigning Songwriter of the Year.

Lang Scott grew up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina just west of the beautiful Charleston coast. Since moving to Nashville in 1982, he made multiple Grand Ole Opry appearances; was a guitarist and background vocalist for Reba McEntire for seven years and has songs recorded by LeeAnn Rimes, JoDee Messina & Linda Davis. Lang has been married to recording artist Linda Davis since 1984, where they continue to live in Nashville with their two children Hillary & Rylee.

Usually kids don't want to wear the hood thing, but carry it in your pocket just in case. If it's really cold once you get on there on the slopes, I'll bet you big money that'll change.

Hard to predict of course but history is on your side. Be glad you didn't plan a trip around opening day at Vail today. They've got only one run open.

Temps have been great for snowmaking and we definitely have more snow this year than we had last year. I wouldn't worry, we tend to get dumped on in December. Here's a good article about late starts and how the season turns out.

I have been checking the cameras lately, and there does not appear to be alot of snow on the mountain, and not much in the forecast? Getting nervous about our trip out December 18th. Anything to worry about?

I agree with the balaclava. If your boys are going to wear helmets, which they should, then you can buy a nice under helmet hat/balaclava, a must in Steamboat. The key to keeping warm on the mountain is layers. (and toe warmers!)

I ski with my boys every January in Steamboat (now 10 & 8) and they wear the whole kit every day since they stay up top most the whole day ... base layer top and bottom, fleece top (& bottom if it's Arctic cold), and down jacket. They used to wear...
