It was a gorgeous summer and fall in Steamboat, but Mother Nature made sure we knew it was time for winter to begin. A two-punch storm moved into the area on Wednesday and brought a fresh coat of white to Steamboat.
14" of snow has accumulated at mid-mountain and white flakes continue to fall, with forecasts calling for snow possible throughout today.
The recent storms and sustained cold temperatures have our mountain crews ready to get working on building the base for our 50th anniversary season. Snowmaking is expected to start this weekend in preparation for Scholarship Day on November 21st.
This season is a special one as the resort celebrates 50 years of skiing and riding in Champagne Powder snow. You don't want to miss the fun- and it all starts on Opening Weekend with a FREE concert from Dirty Dozen Brass Band on Saturday, November 24th. The celebration continues all winter long with a big birthday bash blowout from January 11-21st; because one day isn't enough to celebrate all the memories Steamboat has made over the past half century! We'll keep you posted about the fun 50th Anniversary fun happening this season.
Now that we've got you dreaming of Champagne Powder runs and ready to wax your boards, here's something to get you really excited. Our Boat Launch pass, which gives you three days of skiing and riding to kick off our 50th season from November 22- December 14th, is now only $99. Three days at $99- that's just $33 per day!
Get your pass and get ready to have fun this winter!
