Tales From My Bike...

110 miles on a road bike is a long way! Oh yes, I have found and made my home in the pain cave. Did I mention the 2 mountain climbs, which included Rabbit Ears and Gore Pass?  Thanks to Eriksen Cycles Tour de Steamboat, I have an entirely new appreciation for these long distance athletes. Steamboat from a Hot Air Balloon

It’s official and I can now cross off another exciting activity that I have never done here in Steamboat! With the Balloon Rodeo here in town I was able to hitch a ride on one of the balloons on their “test” flights early this morning. Tim Taylor from Salt Lake City, Utah was kind enough to give me a bird’s eye view of the valley. Yampa Valley continues to amaze me with the oxbows of the river surrounded by lush meadows. It was a completely new way to experience our natural…
