What's your stance?

It may be a little chilly on the mountain today; however, it's a perfect day to work on your turns. The snow was a little grabby early this morning, but once the sun beamed down on the trails it was pretty delightful.

Whether your're a snowboarder, alpine skier, tele skier, or snowblader it is…

Who's Your Buddy?

Frio. Froid. Frigid. No matter which language you say it in, it won’t change the fact that temperatures are low this morning. Even a fancy French accent can't change it, but there is a certain je ne sais quoi, a joie de vivre when you get to carve turns under the clear Colorado sky.

Full of Potential

Today I made my maiden voyage up the Gondola to a calm and mild blue sky day. There is quite a bit of open terrain to ski under Four Points and Burgess Creek, but I decided it is best to stick to groomers.

During early season, patrol marks obstacles on the runs with bamboo and I could see a few of the red…

Enjoying some mountain solitude

It's a good day to be on the mountain.

Yes, early season conditions may exist and we could probably use a little snow.  Some runs are better than others, but many of the runs are skiing nicer than I expected allowing my skis to carve into the soft snow.   No matter the run, I have to say I was smiling the whole time this morning, having a great time flying down the mountain with my skis on and some fresh Steamboat air in my face.

The Power of Intention

Hello everyone. I’m Erin Brosterhous and Monday is my day to tell it straight. I’m hoping for a repeat of last season...if I recall, Monday had more than its fair share of powder days. Lucky me!

White or Dark?

I suppose I should start by getting the formalities out of the way.  HAPPY THANKSGIVING.  There, I said it.  I hope your turkey turns out terrific and your mashed potatoes aren't too lumpy.  Whether you decide to go with white meat or dark meat (or both), I wish you a fantastic celebration.  But let's face it, the only "white" on my mind today is snow.  It's OPENING DAY!…
