Winter arrived early in Steamboat and delivered a taste of what's to come this winter. Most of today the snowflakes were falling in town and we received a couple inches on top of Thunderhead. Sign Shop Steve who works at the top of Thunderhead went outside to snap some winning photos of the beautiful white backdrop covering our mountain.
It won't be much longer till the runs are covered and our beautiful mountain town is like a snow globe.

Admit it... if you are checking this website, and reading this (in Oct) .....you are excited for winter. After getting hit with 2 snow storms so far this fall, one of which resulted in some substantial accumulation, I can say that I am definately looking forward to snowboard season. As greatful as I am to have stayed super busy with work this summer (exterior painting mostly) .. its not nearly as much fun as my winter job.
