Mountain Conditions Push Notifications

Anyone know if there are any push notifications on conditions?  The resort used to send out tweets 2-3 times a day with temps, wind speeds, and snow base.  These seem to have stopped and now are just marketing fluff.  These were really helpful in knowing if there was an inversion or really bad winds at the summit, and allowed me to decide what part of the mountain I wanted to visit.  The only thing that I can find is the 5 a.m. conditions email subscription. The mobile app has a button to call…See More

One Post Blog for the 2010 Trip to the 'Boat

We are just back from 12 days at the 'Boat for our typical one and only ski trip of the season. The nice thing about being in "career transition" is that I have a lot more time available. We had booked our flights to Steamboat last year using Frequent Flyer miles for travel, but in early February, we bumped up or departure date, paid Delta $200 for the changes, and got to head out a few days early. The flight from ATL to HDN was only 1/3 full, but flawless. We had collected our luggage and were… Continue

One Post Blog of Last Week's Trip

After a year off recuperating from neck surgery, it was great to be back skiing in Steamboat from Feb. 14-22. I do not like to spend too much time on the computer while on vacation, so I thought I would do a 1 entry blog to summarize our awesome trip last week.

My wife and I flew in from Atlanta on the direct flight February 14. We got delayed by 2 hours for a medical emergency with one of the passengers. We decided that we preferred to spend a couple extra hours in ATL getting the… Continue

Sounds good to me. You can start a meeting thread in the group section if you want.

Cheers

jg atl,

I knew the gliders were on top of Storm Peak. Just waited a bit below them, and as they ran down the slope a bit, up they went. Was able to shoot down on the gliders as they headed for the valley after passing me.

Regards,
Larry

Ouch!!! We leave Miami at 6 am. The 10:05 is ours. Didf I miss something. Are you going to be in Steamboat too or a different trip altogether. Hope it's Steamboat. We could all have a big meet and greet. I'm meeting a bunch of people on Friday.
