For me it is Turkey etc, never had Goose so won't miss that if not easy to get.
To be honest, I go away this time of the year to avoid it all the rubbish associated with the season, but do love the dinner itself.

Boo, you are SOOO right, burgers in the UK are rubbish. I love in the South-East but have travelled to many parts of the UK attending various sporting activities, and none of them are any good!
It's not a bad thing in one way as I'm trying to lose...
Have enjoyed reading all the feedback to this question. We're out there for just over 3 weeks so hopefully will get to try a couple of the decent ones - including Gnarly's ;-)

Which part of Australia Lee-Ann, I went there one Christmas and it was 40deg average each day, very lovely. I stayed in Perth with some friends.

The thing I loved about Steamboat was its 'sleepy town' feel. America is by far the best place to go skiing, and although I've not been anywhere else but Steamboat, I'd say it was the best resort from conversations I have had with others who have been to the more 'well known' commerical places. I only ever tell people I know who won't go, as I want it all to myself. How selfish eh?
All I can say is, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.....

i think we are going to the Sheraton for the Christmas buffet. Others have suggested the Ore House, Cafe Diva alos. Yes book ahead of time. thats what i will be doing next week.
Usually kids don't want to wear the hood thing, but carry it in your pocket just in case. If it's really cold once you get on there on the slopes, I'll bet you big money that'll change.
Hard to predict of course but history is on your side. Be glad you didn't plan a trip around opening day at Vail today. They've got only one run open.
Temps have been great for snowmaking and we definitely have more snow this year than we had last year. I wouldn't worry, we tend to get dumped on in December.

I have been checking the cameras lately, and there does not appear to be alot of snow on the mountain, and not much in the forecast?
Getting nervous about our trip out December 18th. Anything to worry about?
