What a way to start my week, who needs Christmas shopping when I can be doing this. I can't think of anywhere I would rather be on a Monday morning than atop Mt. Werner making some turns. The snow today was lovely, in spots similar to the top of an ice cream sundae. Crack open the Korbel because it's a Champagne Powder© day in Steamboat. The morning's snow report announced 7 inches at top by 5am but it's been dumping. An additional 4 inches were added by the 9am update and it's still falling. Yep... it couldn't be better out there.

Like all of Colorado, Mother Nature decided to leave us with a week of unseasonably colder December temperatures. There is relief in sight, but for the next couple days we will be feeling a tad bit on chilly side. On the up side, these colder temperatures mean great snow conditions and generally excellent skiing. The colder nights usually leave the snow light and fluffy for the next day.
