Last Saturday morning I woke up to a gorgeous pink sunrise, and took that to mean that the snow gods and goddesses were about to pay Steamboat a nice little (or big I should say) visit... and boy was I right! Thank you all for doing your very best snow dancing, it really paid off nicely in the past week. This morning, there was no pink sunrise... but even better, there was snow!

Let the Steamboat holiday traditions begin. All the snow that has fallen in the last 3 or 4 days has done wonders for the mountain. The ice layer is a distant memory, the groomers have all been refreshed with soft snow and the trees have been amazing. Since the big snow on Monday, the few inches we've gotten each day have kept things soft and fun out there, but we are mostly riding on the leftovers. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just different.
