"I remember the very first Cowboy Downhill; we were living in Strawberry Park and the Hot Springs were completely natural (and free). Oh, those were the days. And I also loved that last turn coming down into the valley. Heaven."
"Hi Shannon, Loryn and James,
As an 'old days' Steamboat resident who now lives in Washington, I'm delighted to read the reports daily and see all your great pics. I commend you on a wonderful job of conveying how special Steamboat…"
"Great description, Shannon. I almost felt like I was in my old stomping/swooshing grounds again! Up here in Bellingham, it was also a bluebird day and Mt. Baker's just glistening w/snow! It's not Steamboat, but it's beautiful. . ."
Do you work for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation?
If you answered yes please provide your title and a brief description of what you do.
However - my 1st job in Steamboat (in 1970) was selling ski school tickets! Loris Werner was the head of ski school in those days. I then went on to teach in the Jr. High School (French/English) for many years; I also taught Kid's Ski School one very cold winter in the late 70's. Steamboat is my heart home!
