Day 1

A great day at the Boat. Dropped the kids off at Ski School this morning. The kids had a blast. Our group had 4 girls ages 4, 5, 6, & 7 all in ski school. All were first timers. At the end of the day the 7 year old was able to go up the preview lift with me 4 times. They are all ready to go back in the morning.

The parents all took an easy green kind of day and made several runs up and down the mountain. The slopes were great. All of the fresh snow has us spoiled already.…

On the way to the Boat

You have to love Delta's new Wifi service. After all of the planning and gear buying we are finally on our way. Looks like the timing is pretty good with snow in the forecast. The kids are ready to see their first real snow. We are on the plane with a plane full of smiling faces headed toward Steamboat!!

The kids are ready to get fitted for their first pair of skis and we are all excited for our first day of skiing in the morning. We are keeping our fingers crossed that Ski…

One Steamboat Place is a very upscale condo development that was under construction all last year. Not sure if it is open yet. It is just at the base of the kids' magic carpet area between Snow Flower and the slopes. It used to be a big parking lot and we would cross thru when we stayed at Snow Flower years ago. Now, I suspect they must have created some sort of walkway around One Steamboat Place. Snow Flower does have a nice outdoor heated pool that my kids all enjoyed. It is across the street from a little grocery store but you will likely want to go into town to the City Market or Safeway for most groceries. We have skied all over the rockies, east coast and Europe but chose Steamboat when we decided to buy. Hope you love it as much as we do. Have a great trip.
