jg atl is right, the main difference between the buildings at Trappeurs is age, finish and furniture. With over 20 years between the original Trappeurs Lodge and the newest Bear Lodge there is quite a difference! Ratings vary from Silver through P...
Hi
Are there any kids in your party? I wouldn't rule out either Torian Plum or Bear Claw... being able to ski-in/ski-out can be a great start to the day and a very well appreciated end to it too.
I haven't stayed at Trappeurs Crossing, but have ...

I have owned a unit in Champage Lodge at Trappeurs for about 5 years. Of course the main difference in the units is the age. The buildings were built in this order:
Trappeurs Lodge
Timberline Lodge
Champagne Lodge - opened in 2001
Aspen Lodge - op...
What is the difference between all the buildings at Trappeurs Crossing? We thought we were ready to book for a Feb. 2010 ski trip and were deciding between Bear Claw and Torian Plum when I came across Trappuers Crossing. Even though it is not ski ...
Janeen, I have a condo at Trappeur's Crossing which is available in February if you have not found anything yet. You can see it at vrbo # 133894. I also own at the Torian. You can see this listing at vrbo #71141.
I have had my Trappeur's on the market as we had bought another home in the country. It is off the MLS now but still for sale. The realtor put together a package of the best priced unit in each building and info on their rentals. Ours is not in the rental pool with the management but our gross rentals were $32,134 for 08 season and $30,095 for 09 season. We beat the average of the management company by over $8000 in 08 and do not have their figures for 09. Plus we do not pay the 45% commision. We rent for less per night but have several more days with guest visits.
Trappeur's has the best amenities in Steamboat and that is a big selling point to guests, especially in the summer. Let me know if you have any questions when here. We own in 6 different complexes and my son owns in another. My email is dstdillard@msn.com.

Usually kids don't want to wear the hood thing, but carry it in your pocket just in case. If it's really cold once you get on there on the slopes, I'll bet you big money that'll change.
