The lift status report has shown Morningside is closed, but the trails report show all the Morningside runs are open. A twitter for this morning says 16 lifts are open. What is the status of Morningside?See More

Shadows Groomed?

The trails report shows Shadows was groomed last night (March 16). That is the first time I remember Shadows being groomed. That must have disappointed a lot of skiers if it is true. Say it isn't so.

I've been unhappy about how many trees have been removed in Shadows. Have they groomed the bigger openings because the bumps have gotten unmanageable?

I watch the news around 8 AM that day, and an accident had I-70 looking like a long, narrow parking lot,so I probably wouldn't have made it anyway.

Hope you had a great week. I am easing back in to skiing; my balance is still not back where I want it, but I am out on the hill. Nothing harder than Flintlock yet, but we will see how the week progresses.

Hopefully next year our weeks will be back in phase.

During the three season season I moved to Vail for a couple months, fell in love with Steamboat and moved here the following season.
