Yeah, I noticed the headwall cam's been acting weird for a while, now totally down.
I posted the issue earlier, but James apparently only read the second part of my post. http://my.steamboat.com/forum/topics/mountain-cams
Didn't realize your other post was meant to indicate the cam was presently down. I'm aware that the headwall cam is flaky and unless told explicitly that it is down *now*, tend to put that in the same bin along with my "gotta fix that darn cam one of these days". Will post back to one of these threads when I have a more permanent fix in place for the flaky wifi that keeps taking that cam offline.

That has been better, but the "presets" are still off. If you click on "Headwall", it looks in thr window of a 3rd floor corner office of the gondola building, and if you click on "See Mrr", it looks at a blank wall above a 4th floor office. "Gondola Square" preset is not too bad, although it could be a skosh to the left, to include Chuck.
Good I am glad it was not just me, I did connect to Steamboat earlier in the day but had not checked since but it does seems to be up and running now, but Headwall is still down.
If in the future you notice any part of our web presence down, including web cams, this site, etc.., please feel free to send a quick note to info@steamboat.com.
Regarding steamboat.com's status this morning: for an hour or two (as far as I know) we had a runaway process on our web server making the site slow as molasses in January (Kent's words). With a few incantations and some luck the problem went away. Our vacation planning site was running the whole time, and accessible via the "book online" link in the right column on every page of my.steamboat.com.
i think we are going to the Sheraton for the Christmas buffet. Others have suggested the Ore House, Cafe Diva alos. Yes book ahead of time. thats what i will be doing next week.
Usually kids don't want to wear the hood thing, but carry it in your pocket just in case. If it's really cold once you get on there on the slopes, I'll bet you big money that'll change.
Temps have been great for snowmaking and we definitely have more snow this year than we had last year. I wouldn't worry, we tend to get dumped on in December.
Here's a good article about late starts and how the season turns out.
