Even though I haven't even been home a month yet, I'm already thinking about my trip to Steamboat for next Feb! I haven't been to the Steamboat Yacht Club yet . . . . .what are people's opinions of it? Is it consistent, popular etc? I'm thinking of adding it to my list of places to try.
It is worth a try. It is white tablecloth somewhat fine dine. Probably not as good as Diva. It is better in the summer when you can sit on the deck next to the river. I have been several times and will go back.
I agree with jg_atl - I love it in the summertime. One of the best spots to sit outside and dine or have happy hour - very beautiful with the views and sounds of the Yampa flowing by.
My wife and I went there for valentines day dinner and we had a very nice meal and good service. I also like Diva quite a bit, but the Yacht club is quite a bit less $$. We thought the value was good. Nice fire place in the lounge too.

Personally, I hate the place. I've been there a few times and have only had horrible service and mediocre food at best.
If you really want to check it out, limit your visit to a drink at happy hour in the summertime.
Sadly, the Yacht Club will be closing its doors for good in the next couple of weeks. There is an article in the Steamboat Pilot about the plans to close.
It doesn't sound like it is completely closed forever. I believe the article stated that there was some redevelopment planned and that a second story deck would be added, and of course there would be a new owner and chef. I would expect it to be closed for sure through the next ski season. Hopefully it will be able to reopen sometime next summer.
The Yacht Club is closed and the property was sold to new owners who, it is rumored, are going for a Cajun style restaurant.
Antares has also closed it's doors.
Thanks! It is still better than anything you get in North Carolina. I'm hoping you have some late dumps as well. Last year was amazing! But either way we'll have a good time! I called Steamboat Snowmobile and they sounded optomistic about being able…
It will all depend on the weather the next few weeks. The snow fall has been on the thin side this season, but conditions are pretty good at the moment. (Weird windy weather today, which has kept the lifts from opening.) If it warms up a lot, it may…
So coming to ski the last week of the season. Can't beat the ticket deal with Springalicious. We were there last year the week before the deal and had so much snow! It was awesome.Just curious how the snow fall has ended up this year compared to las…
Spring Forward!
It's that time of the year- our clocks more forward, weather is
unpredictable and the wind tends to move a little faster. All three
happened this morning as skiers in Steamboat slept in. Not sure if it
was the time change or a Bud L…

WOW, what a day riding at Steamboat March 9th. 9:30 We went looking for Motos but found they were all covered
with 10" of powder. I know they now have a Snowbike with fat powder skis but I rode my new F6 instead.
We started on Pony Express because o…
