Any word yet if these two places are going to be
up and running this season?

I know there have been threats of atleast Tugboat closing
due to construction.

Thanks!

I was curious also about Slopeside and how the untimely death of its owner this summer will affect its presence going forward.

SPT reports that Slopeside is being operated by the staff and that it is for sale.

AFAIK, Tugboat is still up and going with no plans for demolition at this time. We all know it will come down, we just don't know when.

Both Tugboat and Slopeside should be going strong this year. It really looks like nothing will happen to the Tugboat location probably for several years. According to the Pilot, Slopeside is on the market but not mention of any plans to close. I'm sure it is more marketable as a going concern and from all appearances the employee/managers have been doing a great job keeping it going.

I'm so sad to find out what happened to the owner. We loved Slopeside and ate thier a lot last year. Chris even sent me his mother's recipe for the chicken chili. So, so sad.

Thought I'd post an update after we return. Promontory is a hike to the hill but we found we could carry our skis slightly up hill and get to the access run down to the gondola/Christy Peak Express. After a bit of searching, we also found a way to s…
