Ski school options for 8 and 6 year old

For my kids, absolutely I will. Do you also offer a service like Black Tie or is it all in-store?

I think I should add for the moderators that this has been an example of a very helpful plug for a business for an interested tourist and not a shameless act of social network marketing, a la Facebook discussions.

We are also the only store to offer in store fittings by appointment until 10pm (970-870-0900)and we also have a delivery service.
I would like to point out that while we have a delivery service I try to get my clients to come to my store. Delivery was initiated by those that do not have a base area presence but wanted to tap the ski rental market. Ski delivery was built on the premise that you had to deal with crowds and lines and sub standard service all of which they sold hard with dreams of delivery being better. Fleischer Sport destroys that model and mentality.
My store and my philosophy is built around traveling the world as a ski racer on the US Ski Team for over ten years and skiing on every continent and seeing what makes a great ski town and a great ski mountain and ski shop. I have taken all of my travels and experience and integrated it into my store to have the finest ski shop experience in the world not just Steamboat Springs.
I can deliver skis but when I bring my clients into my environment I can empower, inspire and educate my clients and I also get to know them and so does my staff. If you have issues or anyone in your group or family have issues we are all there to ensure you are well taken care of not left sitting under the Billy Kidd statue in a snowstorm waiting on a van driver to bring you a new pair of of boots to be fit in the storm.
We also store all your skis and boots for free when you rent from the store. I have two kids and getting to and from the slopes with ski boots, skis and all our stuff is next to impossible. Delivery brings you your gear but you have to figure out how to get to and from the slopes with it, store it, dry it, meet someone if it doesn't fit, etc. How is that better or easier?
Fleischer Sport was built to ensure those days are gone for good. We are a ski valet, ski concierge, ski shop, snowboard shop and boutique retail store all rolled into one and we are at the base of the gondola and we are open to whomever makes reservations with us or walks in the door.
I took the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch model and made it open to the public at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area. Delivery I can and will do but it is always better to have my clients in the store for all of the above reasons.
Long winded I know but it is close to the ski season and I am hopeful that your great questions will help others learn about who I am, what my store does and what I have set out to do for my clients in Steamboat.
Its been dumping all day and supposed to snow all week!

All good points and definitely something I will consider. When my youngest first learned to ride we set him up at Powder Tools and the ego boost he got from the shop guys and the "little dude" treatment was worth 10 times any logistical hassle we may have incurred by not traveling with gear. Having done both delivery and in-store I think I can add that there is some vacation magic to be gained by getting the kids geared up in a store en familie. But you better deliver on your promise of ease (no clip boards, no corral lines, and no bored intake clerks) or I will forever abandon the store concept.

I think if you want to rent a very specific set up-- brand, size, model, etc.-- or the most basic of set ups then delivery is a time and lifesaver. When my kids were really little I think I would have thrown in an extra $100 just to not have to move out of my condo after the long travel day.

We used Fleischer Sport last year for 4 adults and 4 kids all under the age of 8 and had a great experience. Will definitely be there again this year!

if we get a package through central reservations, do they choose one particular shop for our ski equipment?

Good morning - Steamboat Central Reservations will let you choose the shop of your choice from the many that list with them - some downtown, some delivery, some between town and the mountain, some right at the mountain. The Steamboat specialist you speak with will help you decide on price, equipment carried in the shop, and convenience for you and your family.

my reservation person didn't offer a choice.  Should I call her back and find out?  Do they all offer a place to leave your boots?
