ski and snowboard rentals at base with overnight storage

are there any gondola base ski/snowboard shops that have overnight storage? i think steamboat ski shop does but not sure they rent snowboards and store them. also what do beginner adult snowboarders need to rent and use? thanks

I won't be using Fleischer as it seems to have a blackout on free kids rentals during the Christmas break! So perhaps not for families.

Fleischer Sport is involved in the free ski program and that is a blackout error that was written in when the site was originally developed. I apologize for this and it will be changed as of tomorrow.

Fleischer Sport has recently added Atomic and Salomon to our line up for Fleischer Sport. Depending on your needs we are offering the latest and greatest variety of equipment in the industry.
There are many great skis in the industry but it is important to point out that Blizzard won the second most awards of any skis in the magazine tests in 2009/10 and Armada is considered one of the highest quality freeride, park/pipe and all mtn ski companies in the industry.
I assembled a test team that consisted of 15 skiers of all ability levels before the orders for the skis were placed for the new store. I think I can say we nailed it when you look at the test results from Ski Press, Ski, Skiing and Freeskier magazine.
Every item carried in the store has been tried and tested on the slopes. My philosophy is to match a skiers ability level, height and weight with the on mtn conditions to ensure the best possible experience any individual or family could hope to have.
We also allow for equipment to be swapped out(if demoing skis) on a daily basis to get the skis best suited for any particular days conditions.
I encourage you to stop in and let me help you find the skis that will ensure you are very stoked top to bottom on any given run on any given day.

I have a new shop at the base of the gondola called Fleischer Sport and we have the Burton Learn to Ride Program. All of the rentals include free overnight storage and we also have a onsite basket check for the day or per 24 hrs if you choose to leave helmet, goggles and the like in storage.
The Burton "LTR" program as it is known has been developed by Burton for riders looking to get into and further enhance their snowboarding skills through a progressive approach that allows you to rent gear until you are ready to buy what makes the most sense in the future.
All of the equipment is stored and the ski/snowboard boots from all rentals are placed on our state of the art Snowell boot dryers so every morning your boots are warm and dry when you pick up your gear.
You may also swap out equipment if you feel you are progressing or need another type of board for the conditions of the mtn(powder, groomers, added legnth, etc)
Fleischer Sport also allows for your family to rent ski and or snowboards under one roof instead of seperate locations for skiers and riders.
My philosophy and the premise behind the shop is to create an environment where everything is under one roof and ensures the highest quality experience you will find anywhere in the world not just in Steamboat.

Hi there! We are back in the UK after a week's family skiing over Christmas - I had posted on here in Nov asking about rentals near gondola base with overnight storage - in the end we went with Fleischer Sports and I have to say we had a TERRIFIC experience!!
Chad and his team couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming each morning as we turned up to collect our (warm!) ski boots and skis - the equipment (we rented mid-level with upgraded boots) itself was new and first class (I had many comments on the slopes both from instructors and other skiers as to how good my skis were) and Chad himself was always on hand and was beyond helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them (location was first class too) and will definitely use them when we return - hopefully next year!

Fleischer Sport is the only base area ski shop that stores your boots on boot dryers for free when you rent equipment from the store as well as your skis/snowboard. They are also they only store to offer ski and boot storage at the base of the gondola for a fee if you are a non renter ($10) per night. The boots go on boot dryers.
Beginner snowboarders should utilize the Burton LTR (learn to Ride) program as the equipment is progressive so as you learn you can improve your equipment as needed.

Sport Stalker also has storage and rentals. And they have an elevator that opens to the plaza at One Steamboat Place so that you don't have to navigate the stairs.

Yes, you can surely have gondola base ski/snowboard shops that have overnight storage, just pm me your specifications and the number of members and the days of stay.
