So has anybody gone up the mountain to ski down in the new powder.  Last time we were there we heard about people walking up the mountain to ski out of season or at night.  I think it was called skimming maybe?

Skinning. It's still a bit thin in many areas, but I'll be checking it out this weekend. Skinning up and skiing down is much more reliable after closing day in April especially since the lower mountain base will take a while to build a good snowpack. Pre-season of last year, I was desperate enough to skin up thru the gauntlet of snowmaking guns. (Crazy loud, but fun! ) (It's a Steamboat thing...)
