what would be a percentage of skiers on the mountains using helmets?

I think I saw something last year that the numbers were north of 60% for both skiers and riders.  It is probably even higher this year.  I wear one because you never know when someone is going to run into you.  Personally, I am in complete control all of the time.....   ;-)

I agree, I ski in control, but my fear is someone getting out of control and colliding. From the webcam, it looks closer to 80-90%

No clue regarding real numbers but like jg, I wear one in self defense plus it keeps my bald head warm. I have been hit a couple of times by out of control idiots.

I believe helmets are now mandatory for Steamboat instructors and patrollers.

Just a quick visual check I would guess ~ 50% on any given day except in the Spring to get some rays on a bluebird day.
