Anyone know if there are any push notifications on conditions? The resort used to send out tweets 2-3 times a day with temps, wind speeds, and snow base. These seem to have stopped and now are just marketing fluff. These were really helpful in knowing if there was an inversion or really bad winds at the summit, and allowed me to decide what part of the mountain I wanted to visit. The only thing that I can find is the 5 a.m. conditions email subscription.
The mobile app has a button to call the Snow Report Hotline, but it would be much better with push notifications several times a day. :(
I wish somebody would reply to this. I would like to know when the lifts get closed and opened by the weather and how the weather is changing. The twitter last season was real good for keeping us up-to-date so it would be good to know if a similar source exists this season.
Does the Snow Report Hotline provide this information? How do I access it?
The Snow Report Hotline is (970) 879-7300
I find the on mountain cameras very helpful, especially the champagne powder cam...See how much snow fell, temperature, and visually see if its windy. I usually call 970-879-6111 ex 1 for snow reports, switchboard ken updates mid morning, and if lifts are closing due to weather. Have fun !
Thanks Brian. Yeah, that's an approach, but I have to go and make the call. They used to push updates out 3 times a day on twitter. C'est la vie!
