The best place to eat in Steamboat...very definitive...
Glad you enjoyed it.
There are truly amazing burgers and restaurants elsewhere around town....it just takes a while to find them all.
Hhhhmmm, Slopeside Grill is a pretty good place for a burger at lunch time (or pizza or appetiser or...) :-)
It is times like this that I am (peversely) glad that I live in the UK: you can't get a good burger in the UK, so I don't eat them very often, so I am probably slimmer because of it... there is far too much good "naughty" food in the USA... ;-)
Don't Americans have a problem with baked beans for breakfast at all? Think that I saw somewhere that Americans think that we are pretty odd in the UK for doing that... 8-)
If you have baked beans for breakfast, then it HAS to be Heinz: the cheaper brands that they sometimes serve instead can be fairly revolting...
Boo, you are SOOO right, burgers in the UK are rubbish. I love in the South-East but have travelled to many parts of the UK attending various sporting activities, and none of them are any good!
It's not a bad thing in one way as I'm trying to lose weight and get fit in preparation for my trip to the 'boat this year!
By the way, yup, Baked Beans on toast for breakfast, or at any time of the day is lovely IMHO - and HAS to be Heinz!
I don't even bother trying them in the UK (only place I like them is, very nice ones, cooked on a BBQ in our back garden...). Husband occassionally has one when we are out, but they never look appetising. I just wait until I get to the US...

Hey Marlene,

We are just back from 12 days at the 'Boat for our typical one and only ski trip of the season. The nice thing about being in "career transition" is that I have a lot more time available. We had booked our flights to Steamboat last year using Freque…
