Permalink Reply by James on February 12, 2011 at 4:55pm Noticed 3G around 6am on 2/8/11...Tweeted from desk a few mins later. The timing was so close to Verizon's launch of the iPhone I guessed it was part of a significant increase in national 3G coverage. Been watching news and no such "big rollout" has happened.
The coverage seems as good or better than with our old EDGE network, and apparently the EDGE is still around to handle overflow from 3G, so it looks like ATT increased total capacity in Steamboat in addition to the 3G speed bump we all get.
It's been nice to have on my iPhone, but the real win from my personal experience has been that the 3G iPad I use is now *much* more useful. Like livin' in the big city :)
