It shows closed down ski resorts, and the history of ski resorts still operating. The section on Steamboat has old trail maps, one from 1971. A few old pics of Steamboat showing the old Stagecoach Gondola. I rode it when I was at Steamboat back in '81. Only 3 towers held the cables up to Thunderhead! I also remember riding the poma lift to the top of Storm Peak. One of the old data sheets shows the cost of a full day lift ticket is $3.75!
The pictures of the abandoned ski areas I find very interesting. Many still have chairlifts just rusting away. The biggest abandonded area is Stagecoach Ski Resort which is still visible from Steamboat.
