Verizon 3G coverage is very good on the mountain and in town.  Spotty coverage from Silverthorne to Kremmling, and very spotty to nonexistent from Kremmling to Rabbit Ears Pass near Steamboat.

what about at&t? How well does it work on the mountain. That will be my how each person in our party are planning on keeping in touch if we are on different areas of the mountain.

ATT is pretty good all over the Mountain as are most carriers including T Mobile.  Only semi problem is coverage is sometimes spotty inside the Rendevous Saddle building but step outside and is good.

WE have AT&T and overall I would say the coverage was excellent.  Ironically, the only trouble we had was right in Gondola Square itself.  And I mean outside.  I could get a call in the STARS office but reception was terrible right outside.  The calls would typically connect but then were inaudible or would just drop.  Walk out toward the slope and you will be fine.  I found it very peculiar.
