Come over to the Bear River this Holiday Season and check out Larry Myer and Dave Hudson! If you liked Shawn Allen then you will love these guys! Check out Dave Hudsons blog right here on My Steamboat! He will play on Sunday and will go through NYE at the Bear! We have great acts such as Sundog and Mr. Trevor G. Potter both are local musicans that love to play what the guest wants to hear. Check it out!

We enjoy going to Bear River after skiing. It is very convenient, and we can usually get a seat. We really like Sundog and are happy to hear that they will be there again. They have also been the band at the Western BBQ in the evening at the top of the Gondola, and they willingly play almost any song that you want to hear.
The sound at Bear River has made the vocals quite unintelligible in the past. Hopefully, the band or the Bear River management have fixed that.

Lindsay,

We have spent a couple of afternoons at the Bear during our 9 day stay. The guys are pretty good, but could not carry Shawn Allen's guitar case, sorry. As for the sound that Crystal WA spoke of, it is still awful. In fact I was talking to one of the performers yesterday afternoon and mentioned that his voice sounded muddled and he commented that the sound system was pretty weak. I'm sure Steamboat feels they are collecting pleanty of money from the Bear River and thus are not inclined to upgrade the system or talent, but my family (one opinion) used to spend every happy hour at the Bear river, now we just stop by once or twice. Too bad it was such a great experience in the past.

Maybe next year,
Crazy

Thought I'd post an update after we return. Promontory is a hike to the hill but we found we could carry our skis slightly up hill and get to the access run down to the gondola/Christy Peak Express. After a bit of searching, we also found a way to s…
