I was just reading a past Straight Talk where they showed a ski patrollers sign about avalanche warning being high. Where would you find avalanches at the resort? Or maybe what areas are likely to have avalanche activity? Just wondering..thanks

I suspect that a ski patrol sign about avalanche danger is referring mostly to the terrain outside the ski area boundary. There are areas outside the gates towards fish creek canyon that can slide. Definite avalanche potential further away on soda mtn, buffalo pass and a few areas on rabbit ears pass. The only in-bounds areas that seem at some risk of slides to me, might be the chutes, and some small areas of the ridge and upper wake-up call. A large enough snowfall can put any steep run at risk of sliding. That said, the ski patrol is excellent at assessing and averting these risks.
thanks just was wondering...I never ski up that area !!!! hopefully you all will get some snow from this coming storm.
