Was wondering if travelers had some opinions of Alpine vs Storm Mt Express on getting from Hayden to the boat. I've recently read horror stories about both, and was wondering if these are overblown, or if one is the lesser of two evils, or what?

Input appreciated. - thank you

I've used Alpine Express twice now and never had a problem. I'll be using them again tomorrow-- if I have any other experience after using them again I'll let you know.
Granted I have limited experience with them, but the drivers were polite, the ride was fine etc-- nothing really noteworthy to report.

I have booked Alpine for a private shuttle from Hayden to Bear Claw , out flight gets in 1:40 PM , wonder if I can make the 5:00 ski rental at the condos for the kids, I hope so . I also need to schedule a boot fitting for the wife , hopefully around 6:00 for that. I guess it all depends on the weather.Seems like last trip it was less than 2 hours from the time the flight landed till we were at the Bear Claw , any thoughts would be appreciated,(Kids are grown so we can leave them to the their fitting.
Thank you,

With a private shuttle, you don't have to worry about extraneous stops. It's just a matter of how quickly your checked baggage comes out. Even if the flight is a few minutes late, you shouldn't have a problem getting into your condo by 5PM.

I have used Alpine twice round trip and never had a problem. Will probably book them this weekend for our trip over President's week.

I have ridden Alpine with friends, all without a hitch. The biggest difference is Storm requires a reservation from the airport. Alpine does not require reservation, so they will accomodate walkups.

Used both, never a problem. On the contrary, the drivers and greeters at the airport were great. However, the last 3 years, I have opted to rent an SUV. A few bucks more, but the freedom is worth it to me.

We used Storm Mountain last year. There was about 30 of us in a group. They were very easy to deal with even with necessary changes, flight cancelations, refunds, etc. Also, seemed happier to work with us as a group, allowing everyone to make arrangements/payments for their families, etc. No complaints about Storm Mountain from anyone in our group.

used both over the past 4 years and no problems for either.

I always prefer Storm Mountain, generally fewer stops along the way, super courteous drivers and very smart vehicles.

Last year we were bussed up from Denver due to weather, 4 or 5 buses in all. Even though we had paid and granted we were a day late, Alpine made BIG DEAL and right Horlicks out of it and left many of us sitting in the snow outside of Walmart.

Rescued by Storm Mountain Express without any trouble or fanfare and I booked them for this years trip.
On time, friendly service both ways. I will use them as long as they are in business from now on.

Keith.

It will all depend on the weather the next few weeks. The snow fall has been on the thin side this season, but conditions are pretty good at the moment. (Weird windy weather today, which has kept the lifts from opening.) If it warms up a lot, it may…
