Bluebird Beauty
It’s a beauty of a day. The sun is out, sky is blue, and the snow is cold. A perfect start to a weekend of new terrain. That’s right, we opened more terrain today, and the rope drops continue through tomorrow.
Today, we started skiing off the Bashor lift and additional beginner terrain opened on Yoo Hoo and Right-O-Way. For you intermediate skiers, Eagles Nest opened. The groom down Bashor Bowl was “superb,” as a fellow skier put it. It was so good that we lapped the Bashor lift four times before heading back down to the gondi.
The excitement will continue through tomorrow as our hard working ski patrollers open the Burgess Creek lift providing access to Arc, Ego, Lightning, Rudi’s Run and Tower. Our snowmaking crew has been putting in overtime to crank out the white stuff. If you see one of them, please throw a big “Thank You” in their direction.
Looking further into next week, night skiing is scheduled to open Dec. 14. It’s always fun to ski under the lights, grab a hot chocolate between runs, and then eat some dinner all within the base of the mountain. Things are shaping up around here for a wonderful holiday. Hope to see all ya soon.
